SPI : Woodwork Wood Machinist
The job holder will provide supervision, knowledge, and skills to prisoners in a specialist woodwork workshop to improve their employment prospects and reduce reoffending. They will train prisoners in machinery use, health and safety, and work towards nationally recognised qualifications while maintaining security and control. The role involves managing work schedules, assessing skills, and maintaining discipline within the workshop environment. They will work closely with prisoners, external organisations, and prison staff to ensure high standards of production and safety.
