Senior Cyber Data, Protocol and Network Analysis Engineer
Join a skilled cyber and engineering team at the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory to apply technical expertise to complex communications, networks, and digital systems. Investigate how devices, protocols, and network technologies operate to generate insights supporting critical national security and defence outcomes. Analyse broad communication technologies, develop analytical tools, and produce clear technical reports. Work alongside multidisciplinary experts to solve challenges, mentor colleagues, and influence technical direction.
What they're looking for
- Experience using Python, C or C++
- Strong understanding of computer networking
- Experience with Linux operating systems and command-line
- Practical use of data, packet or binary analysis tools
- Experience working within or leading technical teams
Qualifications
- Degree in a STEM discipline or equivalent professional experience

Open to UK nationals only. This job is not open to candidates who hold a dual nationality.
Selection process
Sifting will take place week commencing the 2nd of November with interviews taking place from the 9th of November.
