Prison Officer - HMP Wakefield
Prison officers protect the public and help make a positive impact on prisoners' lives in a fast-paced and unique environment. You will work directly with offenders, building professional relationships, acting as a peacekeeper, counsellor, or teacher, and supporting colleagues as part of a team. The role requires working various shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and public holidays. You will be based at HMP Wakefield and must pass medical and fitness assessments as part of the process.

Nationality requirements
The job is broadly open to UK nationals, Republic of Ireland nationals, Commonwealth citizens with right to work, EUSS status holders, and qualifying Turkish nationals.
Selection process
